Executive Team

Alice Hendricks, Founding Partner. Alice is the former Vice President of GetActive (now Convio) and Managing Partner of CTSG/Kintera. Alice works with Jackson River clients on management consulting projects, building highly functional teams, choosing effective software, and designing processes for maximum efficiency. Alice leads Jackson River's Effectiveness Consulting practice and works with your people to build smart processes and use the best technology to manifest positive change.

Tom Williamson, Founder and CEO. Tom is the former Vice President of Professional Services at Kintera and Managing Partner of CTSG, and works with Jackson River clients blending his talent for understanding people, systems, and organizational needs with his practical knowledge of non profit technology. Tom leads Jackson River's Technology Services Practice and is responsible for all Jackson River technology consulting and technical project management engagements.

TJ Griffin, Founding Partner. TJ is a former Manager at Convio and has held leadership roles at both GetActive and Kintera. TJ's practical hands-on knowledge of the leading technology systems and non profit background give him a unique insight into Jackson River client needs, internal capacities, and desired goals. Widely regarded for his strategic thinking, problem solving, and blue collar work ethic, TJ heads Jackson River's Austin, TX virtual office.

Phillip Cave, Director of Technology. A specialist in web content management and custom applications with more than nine years of development experience, Phillip leads the technical design and implementation of web based applications for JacksonRiver. As both a front-end and back-end developer, Phillip brings a wide variety of skills including Drupal, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML, XML, and JavaScript. Phillip is involved with projects from initial design through launch and lifecycle management. He has worked at a number of firms, including Threespot Media, CTSG, AC Technologies, and Webworld Studios, with clients such as the Brookings Institution, WNYC Radio, Duke University, IRS, The National Association of Realtors, the Federal Aviation Administration, SEIU, and the Department of Education.

Technology and Account Team

Natasha Rodriguez Barnum, Senior Project Manager. Natasha is a former Senior Account Manager for GetActive/Convio where she worked with PBS, NPR, Oxfam, EDF, and many other non profits helping them maximize their online membership and fundraising technology. Previously Natasha was a senior project manager at Kintera, and an editor for PBS Interactive overseeing the production of web sites for national programming as well as station toolkits. Natasha's knowledge of leading online constituent technology and experience working with non profits give her unique insight into Jackson River's clients needs and goals.

Federico Castaneda, Web Producer. Federico is a Web Producer with over 5 years of experience in the Washington DC area. Prior to joining Jackson River, he was a production team member at The Brick Factory, a leading DC digital agency. During his time there, he participated in large and small scale projects, including the Pickens Plan lobbying effort for green energy infrastructure development, and various online presences for Gubernatorial candidates and wild life conservation organizations such as the Panthera Corporations Panthera.org.

Ben Clark, Web Developer. Prior to joining Jackson River, Ben worked as the Coordinator of Information Services at the College of Social Sciences & Public Policy at Florida State University. During his time at FSU, he functioned as the College webmaster, Linux & Windows server administrator, and effective head of IT support for the College. As webmaster, he spearheaded a transition to Drupal in 2007 and never looked back. He brings to Jackson River over ten years of web-related experience with a focus on serving clients' needs.

Sheena Donnelly, Web Developer. Sheena is a designer-turned-developer who has been working exclusively with Drupal for almost 4 years. Before joining the Jackson River team she worked as the lead designer/themer at TopNotchThemes where she maintained the Fusion base theme and contributed code to a number of other Drupal projects. Sheena lives in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina and is an avid baseball fan; though you might want to wait until next year to ask how the Cubs are doing.

Allen Freeman, Web Developer. Allen has been a respected and active member of the Drupal developer community for over four years. He has maintained a number of contributed modules and organized and ran a local Drupal User's Group in Raleigh, NC. Prior to joining Jackson River he worked as a web developer for McClatchy Interactive.

Sarah Hood, Developer. Sarah has over six years of experience as a programmer and has been an active member of the Drupal developer community for the last two years. She currently maintains the Workflow module, as well as other contributed modules. Prior to joining Jackson River, she developed back-end automation and custom modules for Classic Graphics.

Jeremy Isett, Web Developer. Jeremy has been helping non-profits discover the power and potential of Drupal for over 7 years. He has worked with Harvard University, The Benton Foundation, The National Governors Association and many other respected institutions.

Julia Kulla-Mader, Project Manager. Julia has been helping nonprofits build Drupal websites as a web developer and project manager since 2006. Prior to joining Jackson River, she worked as a project manager at TopNotchThemes and as the IT Manager for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). She is active in North Carolina Drupal and nonprofit technology communities and has previously worked as a middle-school teacher, prospect researcher, and ice-cream scooper.

Kathleen Murtagh, Developer. Kathleen has been a Drupal developer for the last 8 years. She has focused on optimizing deployment workflows, quality assurance strategies, and building distributions for Drupal development environments. She has worked with teams at Harvard and Brown Universities, the Michael J Fox Foundation and SAY Media.

Patrick O'Brien, Web Producer. Pat has been developing web sites since 2002, and has been primarily focused on the Drupal open-source content management system for the past three years. Prior to jointing Jackson River, Pat was the primary web developer for the University of Missouri School of Journalism Strategic-Communication department.  Additionally, he has developed web sites for clients ranging in complexity from content-intensive medical institutions, to design-intensive advertising web sites. Pat also has a background in graphic design and has previously taught a design lab at the University of Missouri.

Brian Pickett, Senior Project Manager. Brian is a marketing specialist in addition to being a technology project manager.  Prior to joining Jackson River he worked with nonprofits and businesses on strategic plans for marketing, sales, fundraising and relationship management as well as the strategic use of CRM, website and email marketing technology to achieve specific goals. His special expertise in CRM technology helps our clients align their strategies for building strong supporter relationships with the technology to achieve specific measurable increases in supporter involvement. Past positions include being Development Director at SurfAid International and Project Manager at Kintera.

Meli Trumbo, Web Producer. Meli has been involved in web design and development for over ten years, specializing in Drupal for the past three years.  She brings a passion for blending web technology with client needs and unique experience, from previous roles as designer, front end developer and Director of Web Development, to the Jackson River team.
